7th International Symposium on Bee Products & Annual Meeting of the International Honey Commission (IHC)

The 7th International Symposium on Bee Products & Annual Meeting of the International Honey Commission (IHC) took place from March 26 to 29, 2026, in Poreč, bringing together 124 participants from 25 countries across nearly all continents.
 
Hosted at Hotel Parentium Plava Laguna, this prestigious international event served as a key platform for scientists, researchers, beekeepers, and industry professionals to exchange knowledge and explore the latest developments in apiculture and bee products, including honey, propolis, bee pollen, beeswax, royal jelly, and bee venom.
 
The comprehensive scientific programme featured keynote lectures, oral and poster presentations, and interactive workshops, addressing topics such as product quality and safety, bioactivity, sustainability, and regulatory frameworks.
 
A central highlight was the Annual Meeting of the International Honey Commission, where global experts collaborated on advancing international standards for bee product quality, analytical methods, and labeling guidelines—contributing to the future development of the sector.
 
Beyond the academic programme, participants enjoyed curated social events and technical tours, as well as the opportunity to discover the rich cultural heritage of Poreč, including the UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica.
