8th International Conference on Tularemia

We are pleased to invite you to the 8th International Conference on Tularemia in Opatija, Croatia, from September 28th till October 1st 2015. The International Conferences on Tularemia are organized every three years. The last Conference was held in Breckenridge, Colorado, USA in 2012.

The 2015 Conference will provide a platform for scientists studying the pathogenesis, cell biology, genomics, proteomics, animal models, diagnostics, vaccines, therapeutics, clinical features, ecology, epidemiology and host response to Francisella. The four day program of the Conference represents a unique opportunity for discussions and exchange of scientific achievements, ideas and information.

Opatija is a town on the Northern Adriatic coast well-known for its historical, cultural and natural heritage. Thanks to its mild climate and geographical location, the town became a gathering spot for the elite, especially for the Austro-Hungarian nobility, including Franz Joseph I, one of Opatija's most famous guests. The town's ideal setting – surrounded by the sea on one side and the lush plant life of the nearby Ucka Mountain on the other – makes Opatija a desirable destination for conferences and holidays, celebrating 170 years of tourism this year.

On behalf of the Tularemia International Society (TULISOC) and Organizing Committee we will do our best to make the 8th International Conference on Tularemia a memorable scientific, social and cultural event for you. We very much look forward to hosting you in Opatija, Croatia in September 2015!
