Go back in history and visit the most signifi cant
and most developed tourist region in Croatia and
its beautiful towns: Rovinj – a typical medieval
Venetian town, distinctive for its romantic narrow
little streets and the imposing church of its patron
saint, St. Euphemia; Poreč – an ancient town
known for its masterpieces of Byzantine sacral art
– the Euphrasius Basilica, dating back to the sixth
century, and its original gilded mosaics. However,
Poreč is also a modern tourist centre that has been
awarded the title of tourist champion of our country
many times.
